You made it to: WHERE AM I?
Each week, for awhile, I will feature at least four photos which were taken in the area. The sites will be reachable from an improved road and probably seen by you as you travel about the area. Occassionally I'll throw in a photo from inside a place. Your task, if you choose to play, will be to establish the location. There will be a prize at the end of the contest so get your travel guides and start paying attention to the sites along the road.
Last week's photos were:
Photo 13 -This Welcome sign appears on Route 150 South just before Dunstown. It needs TLC attention. I understand a few of the JayCee old timers (the 30+ folks) called to remind the youngins that the sign needs a face lift and a dab or two of fresh paint.
Photo 14 -This little cottage is very visable from 150 North. You have passed the new traffic light at the Central Mountain School Intersection at Lusk Run Road and are about to cross Bald Eagle Creek. It hangs out over the creek and is on the right as you approach the bridge. It is directly across from the Fish Commission Boat Access on Bald Eagle Creek.
Photo 15 -Snavely Feed Mill! Formerly The Johnson Feed Mill and Clintondale Feed Mill at Clintondale. Mr. Snavely is very proud of his purchase and the Mill's contribution to the economy of the area. He has done a lot to enhance the Clintondale Flour Brand.
Photo 16 -This is a traffic sign warning of the steep hill and its eventual destination, Swissdale. The only way is down and steep. It is directly across from the Microwave and sceenteen other communication towers at the top of the mountain. You see the sign when traveling from Haneyville to Swissdale on Route 664. John and Kitty Laubscher and their Whippoorwill Mountain Gardens are the first abode on the right after passing the downhill warning. Visit the Laubscher Flower Gardens electronically by clicking HERE.
We are up to sixteen photos identified. So, how have you done?
